Beeston Community Outreach: Community Voice
Today, The Pythian Club continued its community outreach work in Beeston, speaking with a number of local businesses, including CeX, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Boyes, Holland & Barrett and Boots.
Our team member AG visited each location to check in with staff, discuss any concerns around anti-social behaviour (ASB), and to strengthen relationships between the Pythian Club and local businesses within the community. Positively, staff feedback suggested that ASB in the area has been relatively low recently, which is great news for Beeston and the wider community.
During the visits, we also spoke about the work the Pythian Club delivers across Nottingham, particularly around youth engagement through sport, mentoring and structured activities that provide young people with positive opportunities and safe spaces to take part in activities.
Community outreach like this is incredibly important as it allows us to listen to local businesses, understand the challenges they may face, and work together to support young people while helping to prevent anti-social behaviour before it escalates.
A big thank you to all the businesses that took the time to speak with us today. We look forward to continuing to work together to support the community.
