Pearson Centre for Young People: Widening development opportunities

The Pythian Club meeting today with Emma at the Pearson Centre for Young People in Beeston to discuss some exciting opportunities to support young people through boxing and physical activity.

We had a really positive conversation around developing sessions specifically aimed at the home education community and young people with SEND. The focus will be on creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where young people can build confidence, improve fitness, develop discipline, and, most importantly, have fun while learning new skills.

Sport has an incredible way of bringing people together, and it was great to explore how boxing sessions could provide another positive pathway for young people who may benefit from alternative forms of engagement and structured activity.

Looking forward to the next steps and continuing to build strong community partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for young people across the centre.”
