Promoting Positive Choices: Pythian Club Visits Bilborough Academy

On 25 September, The Pythian Club visited Bilborough Academy to engage directly with students and discuss important topics around community safety, responsibility and positive choices.

The session provided an opportunity to introduce students to the work of The Pythian Club and explore the different ways young people can get involved with their communities. Discussions focused on the importance of making positive choices, responsible behaviour and understanding how individual actions can affect both themselves and those around them.

A key part of the session was raising awareness of the consequences of using e-bikes unlawfully. Students were encouraged to consider the risks associated with irresponsible use and the importance of understanding and following the rules designed to keep everyone safe.

Alongside these discussions, we highlighted some of the opportunities available through The Pythian Club, including ways for young people to become more involved in their community and take part in positive activities.

Engaging with young people in schools is an important part of our preventative approach. By creating open conversations around safety, responsibility and positive behaviour, we aim to support young people in making informed decisions and playing an active role in building safer, stronger communities.

We look forward to continuing our work with schools and young people across the community.
