Working with Radford Academy to Promote Safer Communities

On 30 September, The Pythian Club visited Radford Academy to progress discussions around a potential programme of work supporting students on important community safety issues.

The discussions focused on a range of topics that can have a significant impact on young people and their communities, including knife crime, anti-social behaviour, radicalisation and preventing extremism.

We also explored the importance of understanding the consequences of harmful behaviour and encouraging positive decision-making. Creating opportunities for young people to discuss these issues openly can help build awareness, responsibility and confidence in making positive choices.

The proposed work aligns with the preventative objectives of our PCC-funded programme and reflects The Pythian Club’s commitment to engaging with young people at an early stage.

Through education, mentoring and positive community engagement, we aim to help young people understand risks, make informed decisions and develop stronger connections with their communities.

We look forward to progressing discussions with Radford Academy and exploring how we can work together to support students and contribute to safer communities.
